Parent Services Center was founded in 1989 and exists to strengthen and support families and our community. It is a local, pro-active, non-profit United Way agency which provides parents and those who work with children the educational opportunities, resources and support necessary to raise children who can become healthy, contributing members of society. When families are supported and helped early, many tragedies can be prevented and costs to the individuals, family, and society can be greatly reduced. A healthy family will instill values and behaviors in their children which will influence future generations. Our purpose is to strengthen families and our community.
The excitement of last year's tournament left participants promising, "I'll be back and bring more teams with me next year!" So, by popular demand, the Parent Services Dodgeball Tournament has returned to Tyler, Texas.
Tournament day is Saturday, October 6, 2012, in the gymnasium at First Christian Church in Tyler. All proceeds from the tournament will support the ongoing programs of Parent Services Center, Inc., including the Autism Network.
The wonderful new cookbook by Debbie Davis, "I Overcooked My Family But the Muffins Turned Out Alright!" is available now. Should you wish to buy a cookbook, your purchase will help families. $5 per cookbook purchased here is designated for Parent Services Center.
